Las Vegas Nevada is one of my favorite fashion cities. In my normal life, I dress simple, conservative, and casual. Traveling to Vegas is a great excuse to dress outside of my norm, wearing flashier and sexier clothes.
This guide to what to wear in Vegas shares outfit ideas for the daytime, night life, and the pool. There are shoppable collages to make it super easy to choose your Vegas wardrobe.

What to Wear Out in Vegas
Dressing for nightlife in Vegas is my favorite! At night, you will often visit a nice restaurant and show or club. These cocktail dresses are appropriate for all those activities. When choosing a nighttime look for Vegas, think sequins, sparkles, bodycon dresses, and strappy heels.
In addition to a great dress, wear your most comfortable pair of heels. Be sure to also pack a crossbody purse for all your belongings. Its great to have your hands free and items secure.
Las Vegas Nightlife Dress Codes
Something else to consider when dressing for Vegas nightlife is the dress code at the clubs. Nearly all the clubs have a dress code that requires cocktail attire.
This means no jeans, no sneakers, and nothing too casual. To be sure to meet the dress code, I recommend a dress and heels.

Outfits for the Las Vegas Strip
On the Las Vegas Strip, casual clothes are appropriate for visiting the hotels and casinos. You will see a variety of styles from athletic clothe to dresses and heels. I recommend a sundress, romper, or jeans and blouse.
Wear comfortable shoes because the strip is deceptively long. Also, be sure to add a light jacket to your Las Vegas packing list since the casinos are heavily air conditioned.

What to Wear to a Las Vegas Pool
There are two types of pools in Vegas- day clubs / pool parties and resort pools. These outfit ideas work for both occasions, but especially day clubs or pool parties.
The key when picking out a swimsuit for Vegas is balancing comfort with glam. I like swimsuits with unique cutouts, bright colors, and hardware additions.
To dress up your pool look, find a nice bathing suit cover up. I love the pictured two piece set and midi dress. For footwear, I recommend cheap flip flops, so you don’t have to worry about losing them when you go into the pool.

What Shoes to Wear in Vegas
Footwear in Vegas is super important because you will be walking far and spending a lot of time on your feet.
For nightlife, you will want 1-2 pairs of heels that are broken in and comfortable. During the day, I recommend a flat sandal or cute sneaker for walking around the strip.

Other Items for your Las Vegas Packing List
In addition to the above outfit ideas, add the below items from Amazon to your Las Vegas packing list. They will make your trip simpler and more comfortable.
Liquid IV – After a night of drinking, Liquid IV is a great way to rehydrate. It’s an electrolyte power that can be added to a bottle of water that will help tame your hangover.
Moleskin – Even if you pack the most comfortable shoes you own, blisters are inevitable with all the walking you will do. In my experience, moleskin works far better than Band-Aids at protecting your feet.
Book – People We Meet on Vacation is my favorite travel-themed book that is an easy read for any downtime at the pool or on the plane.
Sunscreen – Protect your skin from the intense desert sun with sunscreen every day.
Hand Sanitizer – In the age of the pandemic, hand sanitizer is a must-pack item. These travel size sanitizers are great to throw into your purse and bring on the plane.
Reusable Water Bottle – Another great way to stay hydrated is by keeping a full reusable water on you throughout the day.
Portable Charger – With long days and late nights, your phone battery may run out. This portable charger with built-in cords will fit into your purse and ensure your battery lasts all day.
Mini Alcohol Bottles – Alcohol on the strip and in Vegas hotels is very expensive and bottles are hard to find. I like packing a few mini bottles of my favorite alcohol for easy pre-funking before a night out.
